Hope this topic has not been covered too recently. I'm looking for a LED replacement for my energy hungry 1141 and 1156 interior lamps. My toyhauler stays in a "off grid" location most of the year so energy conservation is a big deal for me. I did a little research and found a variety of lamps and a wide span of pricing from expensive to rediculous. I found the following on ebay and would like to get your take on it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1156-1141-1003-RV-Camper-LED-Interior-Light-Bulb-BA15s-/360268771192?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D4%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D1906786983951397477

Well the link didn't light up in blue (sorry) so I guess you have to do a cut & paste to see the link. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Ask what the maximum voltage they can tolerate is. Ask if it has a "buck" voltage controller. Ask the number of lumens.

Here is the link as a clicky: ebay led

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

X2 Give LED Trailer Lights a call or web visit. The owner is a RV'r and understands the typical RV'r likes and dislikes.

I got some 68 SMD LED lights on e-bay (enter this in e-bay search) for less than $5 including shipping. They put out a lot of light , more by far than one that I paid $25 for several years ago. I have had them for near a year now, and am very pleased.

Would it be better to go with bright as opposed to warm when replacing the bulbs or is it depentant on where it will be used?
IE, in the shower a bright would be better than a warm light bulb?
Is there a floresent LED replacement?
Thanks.

My wife hates the "warm" lights, even in incandescent. She has some vision challenges anyhow (technically, she's legally blind), but yellow light doesn't work for her. She LOVES "white" LEDs, and is really happy that we've gone LED both at home and in the RV.

I suspect it's an acclimation thing. I prefer whiter than the "warm white" color, but I don't like it as bright.

We ordered 4 of these EWAX:IT">ebay LED 1141 to try out and we really like them, so we have ordered the other 8 to do our whole trailer. These are the warm white lights so they are closer in color to a standard bulb. We dry camp 90% of the time, so any help we can get in saving the battery we will try. They did take over 2 weeks to get here, so if you need them soon you better order them now.
