Hi,
I noticed some new model travel trailers have a outside facing toilet door. As you can imagine I had a few laughs with DW on situations. i.e. playing jokes opening the door when sitting on the toilet for laughs. On a serious note, why on earth do they have a toilet door as an exit, is it a new regulation ?
It just seams an odd design. I've seen people ask the same questions at camping shows with no real reason other than some say it's an emergency exit door off the toilet. No offence to those who have these models just thinking what the reason behind the design.
When you let your imagination run it could produce some laughs
Most exit doors used to be off the living room, dining room, bedroom.
cheers, happy camping.

For one thing, it would eliminate the necessity to run thru the trailer for every bathroom trip - pretty handy if there are children, I should think.

Kids and others not going through the trailer to reach the bathroom is the biggest thing I've heard people talk about.

I wouldn't mind it. With my slide in, I can't get to the restroom. While traveling it would be nice to pop into the bathroom without sliding out the slide.

I am only on the second season with my 2010 model, and have decided the next TT will have a second door leading to the bathroom from outside. I have three kids, and I swear they will wear out that poor screen door on our current trailer.
The funny thing is, the bathroom doors have screen doors too! This is possible the solution to neighbours with bright lights and people cutting through your site

Have a TT like that... not having my kids track mud and other debris thru the trailer is the reason. I personally think its the next best thing to slice bread.

Our Bullet 246RBS has that feature. I thought it was a little odd at first, but now I like it. Plus it has a sliding door to close off the area with the shower and sink from the toilet. Thats kinda nice too, so if someone is taking a shower, it doesn't prevent another from using the toilet even if that person does have to access the toilet from the outside at the time.
