When you decide to buy new tires (say in 7 years) for your motorhome because they have aged, do you throw your spare out and replace it also?

FWIW, when we had our Class C , I bought a carrier for it that slid into the receiver and it worked great.
We also have Coachnet to change the tire.
When we got our new rig, I m not using it because we re towing a Jeep.
If anyone is interested in the carrier, let me know.

I carry CoachNet!

Have not changed a 22.5 tire in a very long time, and have no intention of doing it again. Besides, those tools are to heavy to lug around! And if I were to carry one around, it would probably not mate up with the other tire after I got it on!!! That would cause another blow out! When I retired, I decided that I did not have to mess with that stuff anymore. Besides, it is not in my contract anymore.

I kept the better of the old steer tires as a spare. The old spare and the other old steer tire are currenly mounted on trailers where I work.

To answer the question your front wheel and rear wheels are the same. The outside rear wheel is just reversed that is why it looks different. I myself carry a mounted spare and tools but that is my preference. I would recommend carring at least an unmounted spare as M/H tires are sometimes not that available out on the road due to their different size. Having a decent spare you can get mobile unit to install it for you so you can get somewhere where you can shop around for a replacement. Thats just me, others will surely disagree.

I have a 33' Allegro Bus and it came with a mounted spare stored on the back of the Bus in an enclosed cover 19.5" and a gasser. I have removed this size tire and I wouldn't want to handle a 22.5"

I Think it depends on how much room you have in the basement. When I purchased My DP I purchased a cheap Tire unmounted placed it in my basement middle ways, put a thin piece of plywood on top and I can store stuff on top of it. Roy
