Hi,

On our last camping trip I saw 2 hybrids that I wasn't familiar with and now after looking at the forest river site, I still am not sure what they were.
One was in the campground, it looked like a 21' Shamrock but didn't have a slide, exterior graphics were very similar to mine so I assume it was this year or last. Does anyone know if the 19' now has a double axle? My sister-in-law has one that is a few years old and it for sure has only one set of tires.
The other drove past us on the highway, was a Rockwood Roo but I am sure I saw 2 doors on the side, one near the front of the trailer (like on the 23SS) and one right near the back (like on the 19), I can't find a floorplan by Roo that has a second door...has anyone else seen one? Or was it a figment of my imagination? With 2 small kids I think having a door direct into the bathroom, or close to it would make for a lot less sweeping

Totally just curiosity on my part - I hate not knowing everything!!

hmmm, maybe my sister-in-law's is a Roo 17?? Her's is about an 06 or 07 but she has a U-dinette to climb over to get to the front bed (which neither floorplan does now).
I guess the Shamrock I saw was a 19 - thanks!

The Roos and Shamrocks are identical twin sisters wearing different lipstick.

The Roo 23B, discontinued for a couple of years, had two doors. I believe one opened across from the bathroom which made it handy to keep kids from tramping thru the trailer every time.

The Roo 19 has always been dual axle, at least as far back as my memory goes.

U-dinettes have come and gone and come again in various Roo models. The discontinued dual-door Roo 23B had at one time or another a sofa across the front bed or a dinette. Pretty sure the 17 and 19 have put the dinette there too once upon a time.

The Roo 21BH (bunk house) is a current model and lacks a slide.

i agree that your sister must have a 17', since i remember it having a u-dinette and a single axle. the 19' has always had tandem axles.

yep, the later 23B had 2 doors. the Roo/Shamrock 23B has had two different floorplans over the years. the first was like the Jayco 23B with a big u-dinette in front. i think they stopped production on that floorplan in '05. then it came back out in '07 with a new floorplan and the two doors.

newer 23B:

We love our 07 Shamrock 23B. The 2 doors are nice to have, but at the same time, it might have been nice to have extra storage space if one of those doors were gone. Overall, still a great trailer. My DW and I do not like the U-Dinette's especially in front of the bunk beds. Our floor plan is the 2nd one in bikendan's post.

We have a Shamrock 19 2011 - and it's a dual axle (4 tires)

I know even more now since I paid $9.75 yesterday to cross over from the USA at the Lewiston Bridge in Niagara-on-the-Lake what a rip off. It's $3.25 for the vehicle and $3.25 per axle...

We love it, except for the darn cupboard doors - I wish they would open against the roof - I keep hitting my big head on them

We had a Shamrock 21ss in the site right next to us (we have a Roo 21ss) at Camp Hatterass last month. The Shamrock had some features ours doesn't, like a sliding storage box under the aft dinette seat.
