We are planning a few days in the Boston area at the end of the month. Does anyone have any suggesstions for a full hookup park (also prefer Wi-Fi and cable if possible) preferably north of Boston. We have a 35' fifth wheel.
We stayed at Black Bear in Salisbury a few years ago and took the train into Boston. While I enjoyed the train ride, I was not at all impressed with Black Bear Campground.
Any suggestions?

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!

We have stayed at Cape Ann Campsite in Gloucester and it's ok if you don't need any amenities, like a pool, etc. it has wi-fi and cable. I love the ocean and so I love to stay in Gloucester.
We also stayed at Minuteman Campground in Littleton and really liked that better. It has easier access to the city and a lot more amenities. we've stayed at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, which is very nice too, but too far out of the city for me. I think you can catch the train there as well though. They all have full hookup, wi-fi, and not sure about cable.

The most recommended campground near Boston is Boston Minuteman Campground.

I don't know if you are eligible or not but the Hanscom AFB FamCamp is very convenient.

We have a 35 foot travel trailer and we recently stayed at Minuteman Campground in Littleton. There was plenty of room to fit the travel trailer and still have space to set up the rest of our stuff. It has a nice swimming pool and a few other things, but as far as activities they have none planned. So if swimming is not for you, then this place may not be a good idea. It is a small very quiet campground and well kept. The staff was also very nice. I am pretty sure the commuter rail is also located very close to the campground and that will take you directly into the city.

Are there any campground options for the Boston area within walking distance of a train? Or at worst, within walking distance of a bus stop that takes you to a Boston train? We don't have a toad and so I don't want to unhook to drive to a train station. I realize that everything is within walking distance if you have the time We are a younger, healthy family so a mile or so walk for 15 - 25 minutes would not be a big deal as long as it was safe.

There are not a lot of campground options for Boston and none seem to be close by - even to a train or bus to a train. Minuteman's website states a 40 minute drive to the metro or a 6 minute drive to a commuter rail. They also suggest renting a car from Enterprise which they say will come to the campground to pick you up.

Where ever you stay, I would highly suggest that you call first. As noted above, there are not a lot of camping options in that area and you are looking at the busiest point of the season. Good luck and enjoy the Boston area. One suggestion, if you are looking for seafood there are lots of places, but I like Browns in Seabrook NH (right over the border). Not very fancy, but you can BYOB and the food is great (mostly fried)
