Our Nespresso coffee machine, truly a coffee-lovers' nirvana-maker. Also "Skinny Cow" low-calorie ice cream treats.

Somebody's gotta support these worthy companies, right?!

Being completely isolated! Yeah, I enjoy getting off the beaten path, where seeing more than two vehicles in the course of the day is considered a busy day...
Funny story - Just a couple weeks ago I was meeting up with my bro' for 5 days of riding at Morrow County ORV park. As is my custom, I left a couple of days early so I could find a nice quiet place to camp... No people, no noise, just me and nature. Well, I had scouted this FS road last year (sorta), so I decided I would just take it and see where it goes. Well, it went from a nice gravel road, to a single lane gravel, to a double track road, to a dirt path to a FS barbed wire gate and ended in a peaceful little meadow, perfect! So, after adding a couple of new stripes down the side of my trailer I am all set for a couple of days of quiet bliss. Only what do I hear? Road Noise! Yeah, the danged road bent back around I was less than 50yd from the main road...

Funny all the mentions of drinking containers. I tried the plastic mugs and wine glasses for a while. Now all the dishes are plastic except for glasses and mugs. A nice heavy ceramic coffee mug, decent wine glasses and pint beer glasses. I can eat off paper and rough it in a lot of other ways with no issues, but the quality of the drinking container affects the experience of drinking for me. And camping is supposed to be enjoyable.

I guess mine would be taking some of my favorite movies to watch in the evening. The reason I feel somewhat guilty is that years ago we would have never done such a thing while camping!

I like a shot of Rain vodka from the freezer, in a frozen shot glass - in the morning. Then I sip coffee as I shuffle around the campground in my happy rags and scuffed up, comfy shoes, no make-up, wig on, sunglasses, smoking a cigarette or 2 and enjoying the anonymity that makes all of this possible. When at home, I never drink vodka but do enjoy wine with dinner on Sunday. However, that little shot of vodka makes everything so mmmmmelllloooowww that I can tune everything out, relax completely and can enjoy inspecting wildflowers, weeds, bugs, clouds, trees and critters.

It is so nice when no one knows you or expects you to look any different and looking a little crazy ensures no one interrupts the blessed moments of solitude.
