Thought I had lined up allshocks.com/turnermotorsport.com to supply Bilstein Shocks for my 99 Airstream Cutter but it seems as if there are too many reasons why it can't be done.
Because of delays we are now on the road so it looks as if the safest thing would be to get them sent General delivery to USPS Anchorage.
Any recommendations please.
Bilstein BE5-2545 (front) and BE5-2546 (rear) are apparently the ones I need.

Call Shox or go on their website www.shox.com. They are based in San Diego and are huge dealers for Bilstein shocks. They have free shipping and no tax if you are not in California.
Also just a FYI Bistein Corp is also in San Diego so Shox's should have no issues getting product.

Have you considered Koni FSD shocks? Almost all the people that have installed them have been very happy with their performance. In my case, they greatly reduced the harshness over small bumps or tar strips, reduced sway, and improved handling.

Picked up a 10 year old Master Tow 77 tow dolly that stepped on my Koni FSD shock order this week but I hope to get them soon.

My previous coach (Spartan chassis class A) had factory installed Bilsteins. I bought it with 30,000 miles. It porpoised terrible. Replaced them with FSD's. No more porposing!

Thanks for those suggestions - one should do the job.
As for Konis - trouble I have from reading the various threads on this site is that for every ecstatic review, there is usually one disgruntled owner who spent a lot of money for no discernible improvement, so it is very difficult to judge whether the "losers" were expecting too much, and/or the "winners" were suffering a severe case of confirmation bias. Ends up tempting to take the middle course where you spend half as much money to gain half the improvement or lose only half the money depending on the outcome.
Airstream at present suffers no bad manners as far as on-road handling goes and the usual chopped-up surface or crack-ridges aren't any particular bother given that my experience is that over-inflated tyres are often to blame rather than shocks
It is just that I tend to go "off-road" far too often and when roads get pot-holey, the high rear mass + limited suspension travel + high(ish) CofG tend to combine to result in some pretty alarming rocking and rolling. I'm certain that there is no shock absorber that can make much improvement, but I figure that at 11 years old, replacing the shocks can't do any harm
