WE are currently outside of Lancaster, PA/ We will be heading to Frankfort, KY when we leave here. We came across I70 and Pennsylvania turnpike on the way here and were not impressed. However, is that is the best way back west, so be it. We were thinking of going back to Columbus, OH, heading and going through Cincinnati. Is there a better route considering we are towing a 35' trailer?
Having been through Kansas from southern Kentucky several times I would leave Frankfort and get back on I-64 to St. Louis and I-70 back to Kansas. Any other route would take longer unless you have the time to take the longer way of course. I've travelled I-70 a few times also and it's no worse than I-64. Good trip. BTW we travel in a 30' motorhome.
