My wife and I just put a deposit down on a US Steel metal building.
Every year that we've owned a travel trailer I've ALWAYS wanted to be able to store it inside at home, but never had the building.
Well, last week I heard an advertisement for US Steel, so I decided to go online just to check them out. I asked for a price quote, and was a bit disappointed when the site said a rep would be contacting me instead of getting an instant quote.
However, once they did they said they were really interested in setting a display model at my location since there was only 1 other of their brand building in my county.
Between the discount for agreeing to have a "show building" (which just means that I would allow salesmen to bring potential buyers to look at the exterior of my building IF it was convenient for me, and I also get paid $200 if they order one)...and also another discount for buying a building that was ordered by somebody else but never purchased (but they forfeited their deposit)...I got a HECKUVA deal!!!
A 25' wide by 42' long (TT is just under 35') and 15' tall steel building with all the needed material....
Man I'm so pumped about that. Anybody have one of these?

Do you put in a foundation or do they? IF not, how do the anchor it to the ground for wind? Is it full enclosed with a door or just a parking shelter?

Storing our trailer INSIDE has made all the difference. It still looks new. Once I clean it up after a trip it says clean and we seem to have much fewer repair-maintenance issues.
You are going to love it.

Ours is the "type A". It's going to have 11' sides that go straight up and then the roof "peaks" (not an A type peak, but not rounded like a half-moon either, sort of between the two) in the middle at 15' which will allow us to park it towards one side or the other instead of right in the middle. They do sell the ends, but we opted to not buy them and instead are going to frame in both ends with wood and siding...putting a big garage door on the front with a regular door and possibly a window. On the back we will also have a regular door and probably 2 windows.
As far as the foundation..they have several suggestions to choose from. The most cost effective (yet still structurally sound) is where you poor concrete (sort of like footers) that have a wide enough groove in the top that allows the steel on the bottom of the building to sit in/on. You then poor concrete into that groove and when it hardens it anchors the building to the ground.
Honestly, we're not sure how we're going to do the floor yet, I'd like to have a concrete floor so we'll have to see.
The assembly really looks to be pretty easy...they're like putting together a giant erector set.

Congrats. So how much if you don't mind asking since you said it was a great deal. I hope they honor their $200 payment to you on every order for bringing people over. Will they be able to see it by the road or do they have to come on your property. I could envision a lot of drive bys if you can see it from the road to get out of the $200 payment for every order. I could see them saying "Sorry, since we showed them the bldg from the public road and not your property we don't pay you $200 for that."
