The cigarette lighter plug shorted out causing radio, leveling system, and cb radio to stop working. Fuses all checked and seemed fine. Any suggestions or expierences? Headed for Alaska and in a fix - This is a class A motor home traveling with me - Bob

Sometimes a fuse may look OK to the eye, but there is only one way to make sure. Get a 12 volt circuit tester that looks like a screwdriver. It has a point on the end. Connect clip end of wire to a good ground. Now if you look at fuses, you will see a little metal contacts at the top of the fuse on each side. Use point to touch each contact to see if light comes on for both sides of the fuse. If it does, fuse is OK. If one side lights and not the other, fuse is bad.

Yes, it is a fuse somewhere. Many times they are not all in the same location.

I don't have a Travel Supreme but agree that there can be many many fuse panels. I have two below the drivers side, one in the battery compartment, and one in my clothes closet.

As a temporary fix, if the short was found and removed, you might be able to use another 12 volt power source with a 15 amp inline fuse and at least get the jacks working again. For example, the center connection on the lighter plug is the hot spot. Just supply that wire with 12 volts and you may be off to the races.
