If you have to replace a set, (the bearings in the cage and cone shaped race) replace them together, not just one or the other. Also have the appropriate rear bearing seal available. Bearings and races have the number stamped along the ridge. Take the old bearing seal with you to the store when replacing to get the same size.

Be carefull when removing the seal as not all seals have a number to cross referance but you can do a measurment match. Personally if I had 1 bad bearing assemble I would change them all would also only use American components.

X2.
Bearings are CHEAP, as well as the seals.
New hubs and/or spindles are not.

Do not be afraid, sounds like you've never do bearing before. It is much easier to learn in your driveway than on the side of a highway or dirt road. I little common sense and a good cleaning and you'll be fine.

If you have never done brakes or bearings on a trailer I advise you have an expert do it.
At the very least, have an expert walk you through it the first time.
Brakes and bearings are "kinda" important to get correct the first time.
