I am checking the online reservations for Yellowstone, they state the TOTAL length of 30 ft or less and 40 ft and less of trailer and tow vehicle together....
Is this actuate or can I get my 30 ft 5th wheel with truck into these spots?
I just don't want to book something to small or miss out because I don't know.
Thanks for all your input and very useful info

I would go to one of the RV parks in West Yellowstone.

I had no problem with my 28' 5er and a 3/4 ton Ram at the Madison campground.

If at Madison they don't assign specific sites.... arrive early and you should be able to pick your site to suit your rig or call Xanterra and ask them... they will work with you...1-866-GEYSERLAND (866-439-7375)

Call the reservation line, and have your rv and tow lengths ready. They will fit you in somewhere. That's what I did, and they fit me into a double wide site that's not advertised on the website.

Ditto what alageezer says. The online reservation system is only for shorter units and tenters. They have spots for bigger units, but you can only get them by calling. We just made reservations a couple of weeks ago and had no problem with our length (27' open). I think we ended up in a site with two side by side 30' long parking spaces.

They have double wide sites, call in and see if they have any available.

I booked a 30 ft site at Madison online, phoned to make sure all would be ok. The agent said the camp site manager reviews the bookings and places you in appropriate site, she also said if there is any questions they have they will call you.
That being said, she verified that we are in a 30 ft double wide site, so I can drop the trailer and park beside the trailer, I'll take my honda generator for power so my wife can make her coffee and run what ever else may be req.
Looking forward to Yellowstone, should be fun
Thanks for your input and help.....
