I am in need of a Xantrex RS 3000 inverter. They do not make them any longer and I need to replace one of my two on my coach. If anyone has one or knows of a dealer/distributor that may have one please advise.

I have two of these RS 3000s on board and if I can not find another RS 3000 then I have to change both of them as two different ones would not be compatible.

I ran into the exact same problem as you having two RS 3000's not too long ago. My best advice is to go ahead and upgrade both of them since one has failed. The reason is because if you replace one, then the other is just as old and could go out at any time. Then you'll be stuck in the same jam again.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

If they have different output circuits, which I would expect, then mixing them is OK. Try Magnum. They are very good also.

If they are synced together, to run really heavy loads, like A/C, or electric cook top, etc.
Replacing both is the best option,
If they power separate circuits, then you CAN indeed use any inverter you want
To replace the bad one,
Syncing requires matched pairs made specifically for that job,
New + old OR rebuilt + old , might create a problem, as the older one will have been subject to the same amount of use and wear as the one that already failed,
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

My guess is that they are not sync'd but that they are both connected to the same data bus and use the same remote control/display panel. Replacing one with another brand or model would require adding a second remote display panel. I have the RS3000 and know that the SCP (System Control Panel) can handle multiple devices, including AGS modules.
I plan on upgradiung my RS3000 to a Magnum some day though. The RS3000 isn't bulletproof, is made off-shore, and was never field serviceable while the Magnum has all three of those areas covered. It's possible that two Magnums may be able to communicate to a single Magnum remote controller as well. That would take a phone call to Magnum to verify but I know that Entegra uses dual Magnums on the Cornerstone and I don't recall seeeing a second panel.
