Has anyone ever taken the Veterans Memorial Highway (95/376/305) from Pahrump to Winnemucca and if so how is it. We would be towing a 39 foot 5th wheel.

A few years ago we drove Hwy 95 from Pahrump to Tonopah, NV and it was a nice easy driving road to travel. Years ago we did Hwy 95 from Tonopah to Fallon. We've never been on 376 so can't comment on that.

Looking at my travel journal, in 6-2009 we took 305 north from Austin to Battle Mountain then to Winnemucca. My notes said: 85 miles of nothing & no one, but a good road.
I would guess 376 is just as good a road with nothing along it.
Both of these roads are marked the same as 95 which is a good road.

Been on the 95 all the way from Las Vegas to Fallon. Good road basically 2 lanes though, shouldn't have too much traffic this time of year. Check ahead for weather though! Make sure your rig is in good running condition cause there many miles of nothing out there and small towns along the way. If you like desert then you will enjoy it...

Just made the drive from Pahrump to Fallon on Hwy 95 (on 5-8-2011). Rosd is in good condition with no construction delays. Speed limit is 70 in open areas. Ya might want to watch your speed in & about the small villages you will be passing thru. You might consider continuing through Fallon on 95 to I-80 east to Winnemucca. Enjoy the drive.
