You didn't mention that you were stretching a Class 7, to make it an 8. Kinda the inverse of the projects I normally see on something that heavy.

What's the brakes on that one?

Does it have a multi stage engine brake?

What engine is in it?

ON EDIT' Never mind. I missed the transition on Page 11. This is a project that stands to be a real plus as a PULLER. Not sure other than the 'show', how/why you need the second axle though. That is a Most capable beast. lots of torque, plenty of brakes, etc. Sleeper is an excellent addition for use as a weekender (for a couple), not so much for the clan I'm afraid.

Good stuff. If I had false teeth, I'd have had to put them back when I enlarged the pic of the 'new' data plate. Ya got me!

By the way. Did you get the Blue Boy's driveline squared away? I probably missed that post.

No. Got to many projects going on. I was going down road about five days ago. And the center of fly wheel ripped out. So I am currently working on that also.

Very interesting. I have not watched this thread for a while, now I see its taken a new turn.

There's a truck down the street that I need to post up here. Kind of a combination of both these trucks.

Just some new pics. Desided to build my own bed.

As you can see. I got enough dimond plate off of fire truck to cover it all up. Gotta say the plasma cutter sure makes this job easyer.

Remember to keep your hitch to the rear. It's easy to overload the front axle, If/when you add more weight.

It ought'a stop good and pull a house.

What's it got for power, trans., and gearing?

Hi,

What a neat project! And to find a class 7 with only 2,500 miles on it. I bet the whole truck cost about what you can sell the truck bed for. Even that huge pump can be sold for a tidy sum.

The TV show Monster Garage converted a limo into a fire pumper, and staged a fire at the training center in Long Beach California.

Fred.
