I left my RV in storage not running well for the winter. (87 PaceArrow P-30 Chassis).

The kids and I brought it home on Sunday it started up, but ran poorly with limited power. I figured it was something with the fuel system and thats where I started.

It does have an electric in-line pump and after some testing (couple wires and my boat battery) I was able to determine that the pump had given up the ghost. I replaced it with an O'Riely special 4lb pump.

The pump is 3/8 and the fuel system is 1/2. So after some "engineering" it's in and running well. "Well" meaning much better I also checked the fuel filter and it looked very clean. I did have to prime the filter canister to get everything moving.

I appreciate the advice on my earlier post and I did find the solenoid above the alternator. It does have a splice that is taped and I'm gonna investigate that (probably the start problem).

I have been reading a bit using "P-30" as the search and have found a lot of useful information.

Things on the to do list are; Belts, plugs and wires, fabricate a new side door, replace air-bags, repair hitch and . . .

But we're excited and ready to go on a trip.

also the coil has been known to go bad at the most inconveniant times like when you are trying to get up the mountain. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Just a thought.....

How old is the gas in your fuel tank and did you use any type of fuel 'stabilizer' when it went into storage?

Gas has a VERY short 'shelf' life....old gas will cause lots of problems.
