what size is the element? Is the element like a regular element for a residential wh?If it is you should be able to use a socket on it. For a residential wh there is a cheap socket that you can buy at the hardware store for about $5 and then you use a rod to turn it. Good luck.

I have replaced one last year in fact. Had to go to my mechanic buddy who had the right size socket for it. It came out easy. It needs to be a 16 corner socket. You can buy replacements at all plumbing and heating supply places, hardware stores, homedepot etc. RV dealers are pricy!!!!!

Hi Paul,
The price is always high at specialty shops. Just look at the "rip off" price for the "hot rod" and the "lightening rod".
