Heading to Caballo Lake for the weekend! First trip! Hope the wind doesn't get too bad. Looking forward to taking my 4 year old daughter hiking!

Lucky you. Woke up to snow this morning. Can't camp. But people come here where we live to camp, so can't complain, either. By the way, we drove down to Elephant Butte Lake a few years ago and, if I understood what I was seeing, it appeared that some of what were probably lake front homes or nearly so could not even see the water. Have the levels improved a lot or did I misread?
