Saw this thread on the forum, and I'm leaning towards replacing my stock mirrors with towing mirrors instead of going the slip-on route. I like the price on this site for the 1332-5650B set (my local GM shop wants $265.00 each for these type of mirrors!) My question is, any other place than MonsterAutoParts.com that I should look at? Get their model number, then search it. Do you need power (adjust)?, heated?, signals?. Way cheaper than OEM and hard to tell the difference on these ones. Just make sure you get the right ones for your truck as there are several. Some are electric mirror/some not, some heated/some not, and some extend automatic and some manual. They come pre wired etc. and are a piece of cake to install in no time. We bought ours from our neighbor who works in a salvage yard. They were heated, with the turn chevron in the mirror surface. When I replaced them I got heated as well, but without the chevron. When turning at night with the turn signal on that blinking right in the mirror was blinding so I eliminated that option and saved a few bucks on the mirrors and I can see in the mirrors much better. Google them and you'll find a dozen or more sites that sell them. For $70 they are hard to beat. They slide over your existing mirrors extending about 6 inches further out and they lock securely in place. I only want them on when towing and they are very easy to add/remove.
