Have a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500, need to get a towing mirror solution as I have the stock mirrors on it. Saw this thread on the forum, and I'm leaning towards replacing my stock mirrors with towing mirrors instead of going the slip-on route. I like the price on this site for the 1332-5650B set (my local GM shop wants $265.00 each for these type of mirrors!) My question is, any other place than MonsterAutoParts.com that I should look at?
Thanks!

Most of these aftermarket tow mirrors are Kool-Vue brand (but perhaps manufactured by Muth Mirrors). Get their model number, then search it.
Do you need power (adjust)?, heated?, signals?. Best to match the features of your current mirrors for the wires to hook up correctly.

I did ones similar by Kool Vue a couple of years ago. Way cheaper than OEM and hard to tell the difference on these ones. Just make sure you get the right ones for your truck as there are several. Some are electric mirror/some not, some heated/some not, and some extend automatic and some manual. They come pre wired etc. and are a piece of cake to install in no time. Great for towing as well.

We switched from the stock mirrors to towing mirrors on our 2008 Sierra and loved them. We bought ours from our neighbor who works in a salvage yard. He ordered them new and they ran around $200 for the pair, took about an hour to install.

I changed my OEM non-towing mirrors. They were heated, with the turn chevron in the mirror surface. When I replaced them I got heated as well, but without the chevron. When turning at night with the turn signal on that blinking right in the mirror was blinding so I eliminated that option and saved a few bucks on the mirrors and I can see in the mirrors much better.

Not sure if these are what you need but I ordered CIPA slide on mirror extensions. Google them and you'll find a dozen or more sites that sell them. For $70 they are hard to beat. They slide over your existing mirrors extending about 6 inches further out and they lock securely in place. I only want them on when towing and they are very easy to add/remove.
