I know there is something that you can sprinkle on dog poop so that it isn't as umm...delicious....but I don't remember what it is. My friend is having that problem with her dogs and it is costing her $54 per bottle. I think she is giving a supplement for the dogs to eat. Told her I would check with you folks. Thanks in advance....

I have a new Springer pup who is a poop eater. Now that she can get a hold of sticks to chew she has switched.

I use Coprophagia Deterrent which I order from Omaha Vaccine Co. (www.omahavaccine.com). It is a chewable tablet and one dog gets two a day (she's over 80 lbs) and the other gets 1 daily (she's 30 lbs). I've never found anything totally effective so I also am there during the times they normally poop and scoop it up immediately. I can't remember the cost but the bottle has 130 chewables and was FAR less than the price your friend is paying.

Well if you have time to sprinkle something on the poop then you have time to just pick it up???? It don't cost nothing to clean it up. My wife is a dog sitter and is sitting 3 Yorkies right now who for some reason enjoy this disgusting habit. So she cleans it up right away, problem solved.

A friend has a Pug, has been told by the Vet, it is something lacking in the dogs diet, not sure exactly what it is that is missing.

good luck

We have a Beagle that used to eat poop. We asked our vet and he suggested Adolph's Tenderizer before trying the expensive stuff that he sells. It seemed to work now if I could get the rabbits and deer in the neighberhood to eat the Adolph's we would have complete success.

When you have 2 to 3 feet of snow it is hard to pick it up right away.
The snow blower chucks it out in the woods if it is not too fresh. An a golf clubs works while it is still frozen.

Dr. Doug is right, but you sprinkle MSG on their FOOD. My vet recommended using the cheapest meat tenderizer in the store - it's 100% MSG.
