The last few times, I started up my Cross Country there was two pop noises. I would leave the jacks down, and air up the system. While the system starts to raise the chassis, there is two pop/bang noises. I watched the airbags and all four air up fine and look fully inflated. Hoping someone has had this before and maybe its something that needs to be lubricated or checked. Also, it is only when I have dumped the chassis air, and lowered the motorhome. Thank You for your Help!

Had it happen just yesterday. Loud pop on the left rear as the coach was coming up on the bags. A lesser one also on the other side. I have no idea where it comes from, but it is sorta scary when you are 1300 miles from home. Our coach is on the Freightliner chassis. It has just been serviced at Gaffney prior to the start of this trip, so I figure if there was anything amiss, they would have found it. Drove fine all day and was level parked. I guess we just don't worry until something falls off?

Try raising the jacks before the air bags come up.

Sorry for the Confusion, the time prior to this I dropped the jacks first. So decided to try raising the wait off the jacks prior to raising them. Same Noise!

If your jacks are HWH try squirting a little bit of oil on the big pins on the jack cylinders that they hang from and push on. There is a big pin on both sides of the cylinder near the bottom with a plate with two bolts holding it in.
The cylinders are not rigid mounted and can move in about a 6 degree arc. They may be just popping as they move on the pins. Mine do it once in a while.

Mine has done it since new. I assume that it is the air bags seating and stuff moving around.

I've had it too. It can be either the jacks "popping", or banging as they seat in stow mode, and/ or the airbags "popping" back into shape after being deflated and squeezed down by the coach.

What you're hearing is the air bag(s) extending and unfolding. Perfectly normal.

When I attended "Camp Freightliner" in Gaffney we were told that this was normal for the air bags to sometimes pop as they inflated.
