I have seen this ask many times but at the time I was not interested are needed the information now I am asking what to use to get rid of black streaks on Aluminum siding on my Fifth-wheel, it has black streaks where the water has run down from the guttering on the back sides of the RV,

I've found by keeping the roof clean, washing it occasionally, it cuts down on the black streaks.
To remove them, I've found that RV Streak Remover works well. I use it on my house gutters and aluminum also.
You may even try ammonia & water, or Simple Green

Spic and Span liquid cleaner-the orange stuff. Mix a good strong solution and use your long handled wash brush. The streaks will vanish. I use a weed sprayer to wet things down with the soap solution.

I just cleaned my alum roof with TSP. Tri-sodium-phosphate powder, painters use it to clean metal before painting. A box was like $5 in the paint section. Mix it with water, brush it on and rinse. I then follower with ZipWax and a rinse. Quick and easy using a couple of step ladders and a 2x12 as a walk board. Then used the same process on the sides.

I use a product called "awesome". As the name implies, it is awesome. Cleans almost anything from carpets to siding. The bottle will tell you what ratio to dilute it at for any specific cleaning job. I bought it at the dollar store. It will take the wax off, so you will have to reapply wax when done, but it is worth it. Good luck.

I just finished cleaning mine with full strength simple green, spray on wipe off with a clean dry cloth. It was simple

once you get it clean, go buy a set of cutter drains and install them, they sure help not getting the black marks

Awesome was the only cleaner I used when I owned a aluminum sided trailer.

Dow Scrubbing Bubbles spray can, get it on sale 2 for $3. Then wooden clothes pins clipped on the gutter downspout to take the drips away from the side.
