The trouble with being punctual is that nobody’s there to appreciate it.

Freightliner approved RV repair center is $120/hr in central Ohio.

Not sure if it is an Oasis don't think they have hook-ups at least I have never used them if they do.

Big shop here in Fort Worth is $120 an hour. I was impressed with the place though. They squeezed us in Friday before Labor Day to replace a coach pressure water pump. One-half hour labor charge.

Shop rate at the local mom & pop RV dealership is $80, which is consistent with what the Ford dealer charges ($85 for the regular shop, $45 for the fast lube shop), and quite a bit less than the Honda dealer.

This is a small city (30,000) with a real estate market that has been depressed for more than 20 years by the exit of large employers (we used to be 50,000).

I think labor rates are driven by what it costs to keep employees, in turn keyed to cost of living, which is mostly driven by real estate prices.

If I want to pay 30 to 50% more for service, there is a bigger city 60 miles down the road with a real estate bubble still inflating.

That may be a man working for himself, paying himself just a bit more than he would get working for someone else. Hourly pay is typically 50% of the shop labor rate.

The truck shop near me, which is certified for several types of RV's, charges per the type of work involved. Simple oil changes, lube, etc, which can be done by an apprentice mechanic, is $65/hour.
More complex mechanical work, such as a brake job, etc, is $85/hour.
Complex mechanical work that takes one of the top mechanics is charged at $100/hour.
This shop also does not mind me bringing in my own parts, which I can purchase at a discount.

I saw this on the Today Show this morning. web site, "repairpal.com" and its interesting for the auto which may be in tow, or the tow vehicle, don't know if its geared for an RV.
