I have an 06 Weekend Warrior FS2300. This past weekend I noticed that the siding around the front driver side was bulging out. A quick bump and it went back down without a problem. When I got back home I noticed it was there again. It seems like there is air leaking into that area and once I'm on the freeway the force of the air is strong enough to make the siding bulge out like that. I have no idea where air can be going in and I don't want to just put some screws on the siding to hold it down. I would rather fix the area where the air is leaking. Has anybody had this problem or knows the common spots where the air could be leaking in?

Thanks any help or advice will be appreciated.

Does anything else look strange on that side? Does your cargo door close easily or is it hard to close?

dedmiston: No nothing looks strange. Both cargo compartment doors close fine and don't bind at all.

Blackdiamond: I am the second owner and I'm not sure if the previous owner did the A-frame retrofit. I don't carry bikes or water when I'm on the road so I dont think I'm stressing the frame with lots of weight. Aside from the cargo doors binding up what are other signs of frame problems?

Sides peeling.

Sorry. Not helpful.

If your doors aren't binding, then it doesn't match the symptoms that I saw on mine.

Here's what the frame change looked like on my trailer. It might have been different on the smaller 2300 though.

Travelling without toys actually makes the front tongue weight heavier than w/o. The weight of the toys in the back offset the heavy tongue, they were designed that way so when you do travel with the toys you still have enough weight on the tongue.

Other signs...if I remember correctly the bowing of the siding like you are having(but you should not be able to push it back), look inside the storage door in the front if the inside panelling is seperating or breaking that is also an indication, where the front meets the sides if there is any seperation along the seams usually on the lower part and very noticable where it curves.

I think the sticky does expalin all the areas to look, Good Luck, I don't know what would be worse the fiberglass siding delaminating or the frame bending.

If indeed the frame is starting to bend what are the proper steps to take? Do I add the reinforcement outlined on that document everybody is talking about or does the frame need to be straightened before the retrofit is done?

I'm also guessing that since Weekend Warrior went out of business I'm on my own for the repairs is that correct?

Thanks a bunch to all your input.

My FB1900 has a similar problem. I was at the dealer for some warranty work and they said it's caused by normal flexing of the trailer in combination with a siding staple that has popped out, or wasn't seated in a wall stud. Of course the extended warranty I got doesn't seem to cover that....

Quick fix is to put a screw through it to hold it down and then caulk around that. Long fix is displayed in another thread around here somewhere.
