Hi All, We need some camping/Rv parks near McMinnville Oregon at Thanksgiving and then Lincoln City. We want to vist the factory making the new Chalet Truck campers and also stop and see the Evergreen Aviation Museum, before we head over to the coast. My wife has found a place near Lincoln City called Sea and Sand. Has anyone stayed here?? Any information would be great, we have a 38' fifth wheel. We plan on leaving Fresno,Ca on the Nov. 20th. Thanks in advance, Micheal and Debbie, PS- we know it rains alot, and we're ok with that!!

Olde Stone Village RV Park in McMinnville was a nice park. Walking distance to the museum and close to town. Haven't stayed in Lincoln City, so no comment.

my pics of Evergreen Aviation Museum
Plan to spend an entire day there... we boon docked in their parking lot overnight. (Asked permission first and it was so-not-a-problem).

I cannot give you any info on campgrounds in either place but, on the hwy from McMinnville just North of Lincoln City about five miles is the little town of Otis, be sure and have breakfast there. If you have the German Potatoes, and you should, only have a half order. By the way as you drive through Otis you will see a coffee drive up, a gas station/grocery store, the post office, an abandoned building and the red Otis Cafe. Thats all there is. They not only have a drop dead great breakfast, they have great bakery goods, my 9yo GS loves the pumpkin bread, wife loves the dark molasses bread and the cinnimon rolls ain't half bad.

If you were to camp in Depoe Bay I would go just a few more miles south and camp at Beverly Beach State Park. Full hookups including cable are only $24 per night. From the campground you can walk under 101 and be right on the beach. We camped there in June of this year for 8 nights.

There is a RV park about a block East of the Spruce Goose Museum. We stay there when going to the museum.

I second the motion. I don't even care for aviation and I loved the museum. I encourage everyone to go.

Still trying to figure out how they got that 747 on top of the new building. We drove by in June of this year.
