Hi Mena,
If you are going Blue Sky on the charge controller the IPN remote does even more tracking than the Trimetric, and allows programing of the charge controller.

The six volt's are Interstate U-2200's They are charged by a Progressive Dynamics 9180 with charge wizard and are the "House loop" The Engine also charges these batteries.
The AGM's are MK (East penn battery company) and are charged by a Xantrex Prosine 2.0 set for AGM
The assorted maintenance free are in parallel with the AGM's
They normally power only the inverter. The engine does not normally charge these and when it does a diode isolator is in line to drop the voltage.
NOTE: there are switches so that I can cross connect, but that switch is normally open.

The NAWS FAQ indicates that an AGM battery will generally last about one and half times as long as a wet cell battery. You can expect maybe 4 to 6 years from a wet cell battery and 6 to 8 from an AGM if they are properly used and maintained.
When it comes to bragging about life and such, keep in mind the warranties you can get on batteries as a basic reference. The fact is that you don't really know the variables that count: how deep the cycles, how long the battery sits discharged, the recharge current rates, the boundary point at which it is considered depleted enough to take out of service, and more.
Also forget the 'true deep cycle 6 volt golf cart' myths. The differences in batteries is a matter of degree with the trade-offs being cost, capacity, and ruggedness. Check the specs on a manufacturer's line and you'll see this. The differences are not really significant when compared to such things as temperature, age, use profile, and cycle to cycle variances.
Always look for hard data like spec sheets and warranties and be skeptical of claims about miracles and things that cannot be measured or are measurable.

Battery warranty is actually non-existant in terms of a longer warranted battery lasting longer. You are just paying towards a replacement when you battery finally dies.. Warranties are usually pro-rated so you get cents on the dollar towards a replacement.

My agm batteries are into their 11th year and still working great in our rv. They are kept charged by roof top solar panels when in storage.
