Hi, does anyone know if you can camp on the other side of the 15 fry near the hodge rd., outlet center dr. without the ohv's,sometimes we just want to ride mt. bikes or hike. I know it is BLM land. A freind of mine called BLM and could not get a straight answer.I have seen a couple of trailers over there now and again, just want to see if it is legal. Thanks, Lance

It's an easy ticket for "them" (BLM & Code Enforcement) when people camp/stage on the West side of the 15. It is street legal vehicles only over there. Bicycles and horses are ok. Expect a visit and the usual speech. Doesn't do any good to call, or even show up at the BLM office(my experience). Little to no public service, but they will sell you a map that is out dated.

I've never camped there but always see people on that side in Toy haulers and bikes/quads as we are driving buy. Just this last season coming from the East side of Stoddard/Slash X we saw some. Never new it was illegal ????

No you may NOT camp there or ride the it is Not a designated riding area! You well be sited or your stuff my be impounded. Even on a bike. The reason why the BLM person would not give you a answer because they have been going through some issues over there related to OHV's that's why!

CALIFORINA PENAL CODE 602.2

Any ordinance or resolution adopted by a county which requires written

Permission to enter vacant or unimproved private land from either the owner, the owners agent,or the person in lawful possession of private land ,shall not apply unless the land is immediately adjacent and contiguous to residential property or enclosed by fence or under cultivation ,or posted with signs forbidding trespass, displayed at intervals of not less than three to a mile, along all exterior boundaries and at all roads and trails entering the private land.

There is private and BLM scatted through out that area.
