I have a 99 Discovery 36t with the powergear jacks. I have the front jacks fully extended and can't get them to retract when I push the retract button it makes a click sound at the control unit.Is there anyway to manually release them. Thanks Steve

I hope you have a crank to manually retract them a little. You have forced them into a bind condition and the motor is not strong enough to do the job. If you don't have a crank you may be able to put a crescent wrench on the cross tube and get out of the bind. Good luck

Mine are HWH and if you find the selanoids that control the jacks (they have a T-Handle on the end you simply turn a bit and it will retract. I don't know if "powerhear" are electric or hydraulic. My selanoids are located under the front steps on my vectra.

Steve, with your starting problems, did you run your batteries down???? If you're trying to retract the jacks, can we assume you got it started?? Check to ensure your batteries have enough juice......Dennis

Steve and others: Not trying to diss you, but please post your "solution" when you've solved a "problem". A lot of us go back and read previous posts to find out what the solution was. It also helps when someone with a similar problem does a search. If the solution was posted, they can try that before waiting for another "solution"....just sayin......Dennis

I got the jacks to retract. My drive is pretty angled and I had the front extended all the way. I raised the rear jacks up and I guess it took pressure off the front jacks because when I hit the retract button they all came down. Thanks for all your help, Steve
