Forgot to mention that once a lead acid battery (most rechargable batteries) are
discharged more than 40%-50%...left the lights on...they will NEVER recharge 100%
nor hold a charge long

Even a brand new battery and worse as the battery ages.

Be wary of the side posts separating from the battery casing when disasembling and removing...they are prone to leaking..also since the side posts can be awkward to tighten, take care not to touch the end of the wrench/ratchet to any of the metal surrounding the battery when tightening the Positive post/ as well as the metal accesory GND tab located left of the batt + post on the drivers side main battery

I just had the local Ford dealer change both of mine in my 06 F350 PSD. $109 each and no charge to test the old ones and replace with the new ones. This was for Motorcrafts best battery 84 month warranty. This was about the same price as O'Riley and Autozone parts stores. Walmart batteries were about $77 each but nost nearly as good of a warranty.

I have never been to a battery shop that charged to install or test batteries.

Check with a GM or Ford dealer and see what they charge plus you would have nationwide warranty coverage.

I prefer the batteries that Costco sells...MUCH better warranty and I've had great luck with them in all my vehicles.

Thanks everyone for your advise. I am going to go through the dealership. Ya!!! I am going to pay a little more money, but the batteries I had lasted seven years. That's eighty four months. If I get the same results out of the new ones then I will be one happy camper.
Thanks again
