Are you looking for the domed ones or the open ones? I have the king dome. Works well most times. Foggy/rainy weather or dirty dome will lessen picture quality. Third coach with the dome and we like it. Domes are required if you are looking for in-motion satellite service....You might want to edit your post and ask a more pertinent question instead of generic..IMHO, you'll get better answers.....Dennis

Not sure what type of set-up you're looking for but I just built my own stand from ideas on this forum and use a receiver from our bedroom. I pondered different types of satellite myself and since we camp often in forested areas it seemed easier to move satellite dish instead of rig to get a clear sight line for obtaining strong signal. Takes about 5 minutes to set up and we have all the channels that we have at home minus the locals.

I use the Winegard Crank-up Satellite Dish with Winegard Digital Magic Add-on Kit.

I've had this on three 5th wheels in 10 years and only on a few occasion's I have not been able to lock on to a satellite.( Tree's mountains etc)

If I had to install one now, I'd go with the auto set up one. When I bought my last one in 2004, the sales guy at CW told me they were having problems with the computer boards on some of the auto ones.

I'm sure they got that all worked out now.

I usually can lock on in less then 1 minute.

I wanted the flexibility to move my dish around so I made my unit a freestanding base. I didn't want a unit that would blow over or move in the wind so the aluminum tri-pod stands were out.

I purchased a "Dish Network" dish and feed horn off of E-bay (about $50.00) to use with my second home receiver, (service was already paid for and I had the remote). I then mounted the dish to an automotive flywheel.

This unit sets up in less than 5 minutes, is not blocked by trees or blown around by wind, and has no additional cost other than what I pay for at the house.

I use a poles and holders mount by the ramp door and use 1 1/4 pvc to mount it, even in 50mph winds it never looses signal, I got tired of the tripod, as long as the trailer is level I just turn it and find the signal in seconds.
