I would suggest research through reading about other visitors experiences in their blogs. I have found that one of the best ways to find out where I want to go and where to stay when I get there. A link to our blog is in my signature. There are blogs for our Alaska and Western canada trip last year as well as our current trip to Eastern Canada. We are currently in Newfoundland and will be catching the ferry back Wednesday after spending the last month in this wonderful province. The "Newfies" are truly amazing people! We will be here for the whole summer the next time we come.

I would guess you are going to Kitchener, Ontario, where your Road Trek was made. We have been from one coast to the other and enjoyed it all.

This forum is one of the best places to get info... Canada is a big place and I also recogmend seeing it in stages. I have lived on Vancouver Island all my life and have camped here for most of it and I still haven't seen all of the island and it is just a little tiny piece of Canada.

We also enjoy the TripTics that AAA provide their members as a travel planner they give much information of the geography , history and points of interest of the route you are traveling along with detailed info on everything from shopping, gas stations, hotels, and camp sites

AAA

Why AAA, instead of CAA.

I tried CAA once. once. note, just once. Excessively lowest common denominator it was. Thus, I gave up on that feature of CAA.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

wow, 3 months that a heck of a trip. I have been all over canada and everywhere has its things to see and do, so depending on what you like to do could make a huge differance in where to stop and how long to stay in one place.

I would personaly go strait up and start on the east coast, then travel west through Canada ending up on vancouver island. then you can take the ferry to the US and go back home through the states.

Thanks, Steve. That's the route I probably will take.

Best wishes. - Larry

As the op is from Plant City Florida i just thought it would be more expedient for him to go through AAA rather than Canada's CAA. We used CAA last year on our cross Canada trip and found no problems with the CAA triptics.

Would it be correct to say that reservations are a must for the ferry to Nfld? My bro's neighbours showed up @ North Sydney this summer w/ their 5er. They waited over a week for a spot on the ferry.
