I have a 2002 Bigfoot camper. A couple of days ago my fridge quit working. When I hit the on swith I heard a buzzing type sound. I took the cover off the outside and found the noise coming from a black box. Also, when I open the door to the auto light goes out. I tried to light the pilot manually but that did not work. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your battery is low...or you have a bad 12vdc connection inside the fridge or going to the fridge.

Leave the door closed and just turn on a light in the camper and see if the check light goes out. That would mean that your battery voltage is low.

Batteries are fine, they run everything else in the camper. I'll check the connections. It's a Dometic, and I will get the model #. Thanks for the help so far!

It is very important to make sure your camper is level when you start up your fridge when getting ready to go on a trip.

If your unit is not level, sooner or later, your fridge will have to be replaced.
