I'm replacing my Atwood DSI water heater one piece at a time. First I had a click and no spark. I replaced the igniter and it worked a little while. I cleaned again, and it seemed to work for a while. I then replaced the old circuit board. Again it worked for a while. Now it will light, but takes two or three tries and sometimes will not light when hot water runs low. I pray every time I turn it on that I'll see the green light, not the red. What should I replace next?
I have not removed the nipple on the gas line. Should I do that and clean it? ALSO and very important, is the propane system like a house system where the threads are reversed??
Thanks in advance.

1 - propane threads Ive worked on were not reversed.
2 - when things start getting real squirreley, it most likely means it's time to get a new control board from Dinosaur. If you are pretty sure all the mechanicals are OK (& it sounds that way) give Dinosasur a call. They are most helpful & honest, and will go step-by-step with you. Their boards are top=notch, too. I can't find my phone number list, but google 'dinosaur' and start from there.

After chasing a ghost in my hot water heater, I found the problem to be a bad ground. It often would not start, or sometimes would start but not stay going.
Best of luck!
