I have Dodge 3500 I just bought, to put the 5th wheel rails in I had to take out the goose neck hitch. Before everyone goes crazy I took the hitch out of my old truck a PullRite slider. Anyway the problem I have is the 4 inch hole in my bed. Any idears on a cheap but effective fix?

Drop in bed liner? I have one in mine, and I cut it to fit around the 5er hitch rails.

I have seen an 18 ga. or so flat cover welded over a hole in the bed before. Not the prettiest fix, but effective.

That's what I would do, weld a plate over the hole then spray it with bedliner material.

Might try getting a piece of bed floor out of a wrecking yard and weld that in.

Kind of off the wall but...I have seen a round chrome flat cover plate with one hole in the middle that is used in certain plumbing applications...Can't remember the last one I saw but I bet they're not too hard to find.
