This would be a great Christmas gift for him. Installation is easy. I have the same one as Sonicsix, a Barker. Around 180.00 on ebay. Makes jacking up the TT and TV a snap to set your WD hitch, or to release it.

I had the same one as Sonicsix when we had our TT. The Dw was not convinced until I offered to let her crank tha handle on a 95+ degree sunny afternoon. She immediately OK'd the purchase.

I think there is nothing finer you can do to a TT than add an electric jack. We too got ours off of Ebay for around $180.00, New-in-box.

Takes 3 bolts to switch it over and then fasten the only wire to the battery.

Been told that if you have the Barker and call the company that they will send you a head cover free of charge. I also have seen where people have taken an old cat little container and placed it on the top with a couple of hooks inside to hang the umbilical cord and tow chains out of the way.

Get the 3500# model. It will have plenty of grunt to take the weight off the TV to attach the WDH.

If we ever own another TT, I will not use it until I have an electic jack on the tongue.

The electric tongue jack is one of the best things we ever did. Hand cranking gets old fast.

Get a good one - don't scrimp. They last a long time.

It's a wonderful gesture to say I love you,

Wow,everyone has been so helpful. Thanks. Can't you buy an elect. jack at Camping World or any other camping supply place? I noticed everyone bought theirs on-line, so I just wondered.
Let me ask a couple more questions about the elect. tongue jack though. Does the wire connect to the battery?
This sounds like the perfect gift for my DH, for sure. My last question to all of you pros out there is this....does it matter what type of hitch we have? We have the Centerline Husky, which is a newer type of hitch, I guess. Does that matter? Will any model of elect. jack work with any type of hitch and any type of TV and TT? Right now, my DH uses those magnetic tennis balls on the posts which helps him to line up the TV to the TT. Then he already is short tempered after doing that, so the elect. jack sounds like the answer to our camping experiences.

Yep, any jack will work with any hitch. They have no direct relationship with each other. Yes, you should be able to buy one at Camping World. They should be able to give you good advice on the appropriate one. Yes, it hooks up to the battery--a very easy hook-up as they are very close to each other. The wire from the jack will easily reach to the battery. Yes, it would be a great Christmas gift--when I had a pull trailer it would rank as one of the top add ons. I wouldn't be without one.

Thanks to Earl E for the quick response to my questions. Now it is time to go shopping.
