I am trying to decide what size ladder to take with me on my journeys. I will have to hang it from the rear ladder on the coach as I don't have a large enough basement to take either size. I have both sizes in fiberglass. I'm thinking the 8 footer as I can get to the edge of the roof with that one and reach almost anything. But, it is bigger and heavier to handle. The 6 footer is a more convenient size and lighter. What do you guys have and what would you recommend.

I'm currently using a 4 ft aluminum ladder. Works for most things, but I think a 6 ft would be ideal.

Well in the end it will be up to you. I have a 6ft fiberglass and I have always carried a 6ft. BUT I am leaning towards getting a 8ft just because I catch myself on the TOP of the 6ft all the time. Yes 6 is easier but in my case 8 would be better....

I carry a collapsable 7' ladder in our campers storage compartment. It folds up to about 4" square X 7'. Got it at Camping World several years ago.

I carried a 6' step ladder for many years. Many times having to stand on the very top to reach what I wanted to do. For the last 3 years I have carried a 8' step ladder and wish I had gone this route years ago.

How about a Little Giant. It makes up into lots of different configurations of ladders.
