We own a used 2007 Fleetwood Mallard 180CK travel trailer. The same wall material is throughout the trailer including the shower/tub walls. There is no fiberglass wall surround which seems rather strange although Fleetwood assured us that this was nothing to worry about. During an Alaska trip this summer, we noticed water leaking from under the tub. After removing a metal trim piece where the tub meets the wall edge, it appears water is getting behind the tub lip behind the trim. As a temp fix we fashioned another shower rod and curtain around the entire shower wall area. Does anyone know of a more permanent solution?

Tub and Shower caulking around all the seams. The wallboard is covered with vunyl, and unless damaged does a good job repelling water. We put sheets of tile looking wall board from home depot on one of our Jayco's that came with shower walls like you have, worked well, looked good and leak proof!

I have had problems with shower walls and it turned out to be right at where the wall meets the end of the door frames on the bottom. caulk fixed it.
The bath should have a lip that estends up behind the wall so the leak is likely not all around the tub.

Thanks for the advice. Think I'll look into the Home Depot panels...wonder if they'll need to be cut to fit?
