Just made reservations at Desert Palms Golf and RV Resort just off hwy 60 in Salome, Az. Has anybody stayed there or anybody have any information about the resort? We are looking for a nice resort to leave our 5er year around. Any info on any parks in the area or along the Hwy 60 route would be great. Thanks

We have a few friends who have stayed in Desert Palms, for about 5 yrs. The club house is very nice, and so is the pool area. Of course, golf course is right there..Know nothing about the golf. Not really much in Salome. Hwy 60 connects with I-10 at exit 31. A few nice parks along 60 as well. Black Rock rv village, Desert Gold rv resort, both in Brenda(nothing really is Brenda-black rock cafe) Wagon West rv park(don't think they have a pool. But big club house.
Desert Palms has painting classes, beading classes etc.Large park. Some of the lots seems very large, almost to the point you want to do some landscaping!LOL..
We stayed for 3 yrs in Desert Gold, had a great time. lots of activities. Most lots are 50x38 with 50 amp and local phone lines(you have to contract with phone company) They also have 18 channel satellite tv cabled to the sites.
Brenda is much closer to Quartzsite, about 20 miles, where Salome is about 23 miles from Brenda. Since we are in Quartzsite a few times a week, we decided to move over to the south side of Q last winter. Saved us lots in Diesel and we were right within the action! Salome has a post office and a couple small restaurants. Also a hardware store. Most major shopping is done in Parker,Blythe Calif, or even from Salome you could go to Wickenburg. Some even venture towards outskirts of phoenix for the big box stores. Lots of folk will probably answer you, as many of us are in the Quartzsite area for the winter..we are gold prospectors and rock hounds and just love the area..
All the parks I mentioned are very nice and safe places.. Dona

We stayed one night on the way to Casa Grande this winter. Very nice park, we had a large pull thru near the golf course. No pets, so we can't comment on that. Be aware, there is no Cable TV in the park so make sure your Satellite System is up to par.
