I saw the first signs of fall this morning. The first leaves are starting to turn. I never liked fall because it seemed sad, everything dieing, and winter just around the corner. Now that we are retired I love Fall! The cooler temps and time to start planning our winter in the south! Yeah! Come on Fall!

I'm with you! I always hated it too, but once we moved to Florida (and now Georgia) I love it!

Oh to be up there will you all and the cool wonderful weather of fall.
I keep thinking of all the vegetable stands up north that are now full up with wonderful squashes, and fresh vegetables, and fruit.

I foolishly decided to stay in Florida during their summer instead of going back up North. One of the dumbest things I have ever done. I know now how to spell 'hot', no... make that 'very hot'.

I might be here ahead of all of you, but I can guarantee you I will be the FIRST to leave when summer comes this time!

It's coming earlier this year than last year. I'm sure it isn't my imagination that the leaves are turning sooner this year than last year near Mill City, Oregon.

Right now, I can only dream of Fall.

Last week, while mowing the lawn, I spotted a red-orange leaf on the ground. A sign of hope! However, it was the only one I could find. Right now here in NE Pa, its 93 degrees. Its been a llooooong hot summer.

In our area, the pumpkins are starting to turn orange already. The growers are concerned they will just be mush by Hallowe'en, still 2 months away.
