Presently have a DP - 40 ft Dynasty and I "love" this coach.
That said - some health issues are beginning to drive me toward a little smaller coach - and something that is a bit easier to maintain (oil changes, grease, wash wax, and so on).
At the same time - I do have a serious need for comfortable recliner and bed like I have in my present coach.
Have been checking out the Lexington 28 ft, and found a Holiday Rambler of similar size - and from photos it appears they could possibly be a good fit.
Just starting to search for something - may take me 2 years or more and then I would have to sell my DP - which I will do privately.
Just seeking input and thoughts on the two coaches mentioned - problems, issues, quality, and etc ---- I would prefer the Ford powered coach, but not mandatory

The Lexington is not really a class B. It is a class C. You'd get much better info posting in that forum.

Both of the coaches I listed and am looking at are identified as "B" units.
Possibly the manufacturers have mis-identified them?

Unless the manufacturers of these units are badly mistaken - this thread belongs in the "B" side - not the "C" where it was moved to.
I am not interested in the "C" units - and invite you to take a look for yourself here:

Bill, The Lexington by Forest River is classified as a B+ which is a sub category of the class C forum... Which is why the forum Admin moved the thread over here

Hi Bill:
the units you mention are classified as B+ motorhomes. I downsized last year from a 38' Monaco Diplomat to a Monaco Montclair 28', which is basically the sister of the HR unit you were referring to. We have not regretted the move at all. We downsized for the same reasons that you have mentioned. The only drawback is the lack of outside storage space a class A has. But all of the other advantages outweigh the limited storage. We have not had any issues with our unit, which now has 8K mileage.

Bill Bill - You haven't been fortunate to read the numerous postings on this subject. The manufacturers market their RV's in whatever fashion they think will attract a buyer. Most people credit R-Vision with being the first to build a Class C without a bed over the cab and shrink the width and height of the traditional C. They marketed that size as a "B+". That decision did not change the original classification by the RVIA of a van chassis with the body cut-away by either Dodge, Chevy, or Ford as being a Class C. This forum stays with the original RVIA classifications even though some of the manufacturers chose to call their units without a bed over the cab as a B+.
When R-Vision was sold to Monaco the floorplans of some R-Visions were assigned to the Holiday Rambler. The Model 29PBT looks a lot like this R-Vision on a Chevy chassis Trail-Lite 293TS. I have personally seen this unit and it is a clean one owner unit.

Ha! Bet you are perplexed to learn that most B+'s are actually C-'s! It seems a lot of Class C buyers are choosing the entertainment center/cabinet space instead of the cabover bed. If you look at the units in the signatures here on Class C, you will notice a lot of these models. Some Class C/B+ have the barrel chair next to the entrance door. I haven't seen a recliner in these much. But I bet there is one out there with the recliner! The V10 is more common than the Chevy but the Ford has less legroom up front, especially for the passenger.
Good luck with your choices!

We are also looking at the Forest River Lexington B+. Saw one in Cherokee, NC. Took a tour and was sold on the idea. The one we looked at had 3 slides. Awesome vehicle. This will probably be our next unit when trading time comes. It is a B+ so don't let anyone tell you other wise. Good luck on your decision.
