We have a high top which adds to wind resistance, but for us the advantages outweigh the cons.

At proper tire inflation we run 11.5 to 14. By over-inflating the tires, that changes to 13 to 15.5. That's fully loaded. Flat towing a VW Super Beetle convertible doesn't seem to impact the mileage noticeably. The lower mileage is all about the increased wind resistance.

The engine is a 351 Windsor, btw. Photo link in signature.

2010 210P
6.0L
Overall Cumulative MPG = 13.8
Adjusted cumulative (toss first odometer and fillup reading) = 14.8 MPG

The on-board computer is showing about the same MPG ranging from a low of 11.7 to high of 18.9 (coming home down-hill from West Texas with a strong tailwind).

Most of the miles have been in pretty flat West Texas. One long trip up thru the Rockies towing a small trailer. Didn't seem to affect the MPG much that I can see.

Just went to Branson via Tunica, MS 939 miles and stayed at 55 or less MPH. Filled up after arriving back in Tupelo, MS and averaged 13 MPG. I am happy with that because I used my Pleasure-Way 2008 Excel with a V10 engine. Now have 20,203 miles on vehicle.

Just purchased a 1995 Coachmen Ford E250 with 5.8L engine. So far I have only driven it 180 miles (to get it home) from Lawrence, Ks to Wichita.

Just eyeballing it, she got 13mpg doing 65mph on cruise control with air conditioning on, a full tank of gas (35gallon) and full fresh water tank. No idea what gears it has or any of that exciting stuff. The front end is anything but aerodynamic.

Just got my new UltraGauge yesterday and plan on taking the Babe Catcher out this weekend so I should have better mileage data.

1996 Roadtrek 210 Popular built on a 1995 Chevy G30 van chassis (extra long-20.5 ft excluding spare tire carrier) with the 5.7L V8.

I've put 25,740 miles on it since I bought it (120,779 total miles) and have averaged 13.2 mpg during that time.

We just returned from a trip putting on 3600 miles. Our RT ('04...V8..6L Vortex) was fully loaded with all gear and water tanks full (we weighed in at 9020#'s). Our trip includes driving in Yellowstone. We traveled from WI to WY (via ND going west) and back (via SD going east), so we had a variety of road conditions and weather conditions. We got 13-14 mpg's on hills and 15-17 on highways with max speed 70. While driving through the flat plains we were up against a lot of wind resistance. We were very pleased with our mileage.

One other note....we ran into another RT couple who travels A LOT. Their 1994 RT (I believe it was a Dodge) had over 250,000 miles on it. They drive between 55- 60 (never going over 60) and was getting 18 mpg's.
