So far we are averaging 18 mpg - 15.000 miles -2006 PW Excel TD.

This includes trips to Moab,Utah & Palm Springs,Ca.

I wonder what it would be if there was no high mountains
to climb.

Do you use imperial gallons in Canada? (which=1.2 US gals)

If so, that would be 15mpg (US)

Does anyone know what their vehicle is supposed to get according to the van manufacturer if it was not converted to a Class B? This would give a good idea of what the additions do to the mpg or if they are still in the ballpark of the van alone.

2007 Roadtrek RS Adventurous, 2500 diesel engine, consistently gets 22-24 average mpg. We travel 70 on freeways, and the speed limit elsewhere.

I've kept accurate records for every fill-up our B and over 5 years in all driving have averaged 22.5 MPG in our 2005 diesel Sprinter. We have gotten as high as 25.5 mpg and have never gone below 20 mpg on any one fill-up. Our highest range on a 26 gallon tank was 608 miles. It could theoretically have been higher but I stop when opportunity presents for a fill-up whenever we get below 1/4 tank and there are usually 2 gallons left when the warning light comes on.

In past threads there has not been a lot of quantifiable info on the newer 6 cylinder Sprinter diesel engines (2007 and newer) and no comparison of the 2010 Sprinter engine since they improved the 6 cylinder once again in HP and torq and supposedly in mileage. That is what I am most interested in.

Our 2006 Sprinter gets pretty much the same mileage reported by Davydd. I have kept track of miles traveled and fuel used over 64,000 miles. We averaged 22.5 mpg overall - 20-21 mpg at 70 mph and 24 or better at speeds under 60 mph.

My 2006 Sprinter is about the same mpg as above, even towing the cooker. I've got about 16,500 miles on it. I really, really appreciate this forum. When my turbo resonator died, I knew exactly what it was. Found a Sprinter mechanic and limped along the backroads to get it replaced. The motor doesn't "sing" the same tune, but it's got the umph back.

I have a 1995 Coachmen on a Dodge with a 318 gas. The dash air is never turned off and running the freeway speeds of 65-70 mph on flat ground with my water tank full, my lowest was just under 15 with old gas, partially city driving and running the genny, while the highest was over 17 mpg

We purchased our 1996 Dodge Pleasureway excel wide body-360 engine-3:92 axel ratio,in 2004 with 32,000 miles ( fully loaded down) and drive with the cruise on at 62 M.P.H. and air cond as needed and some generator usage and check the gas mileage every 10,000 miles or so, and was getting 14.3 M.P.G. in flat land and aoccasionally, some mountain driving. After 40,000 to 46,000 miles the mileage increased to 15 plus M.P.G., with no changes in driving habits. Bob
