The spell checker seems to be stuck in Spanish for some reason for me.

It's very frustrating to have red lines under every word and also I'm not the best of spellers!

How can I change the spell checker language to English?

Thanks

positivething,

Are you referring to the spellchecker that is built into your browser or are you clicking on the message windows Spell Check tool, ?

Your post reads to me as if you are referring to the former. If so, tell us what browser (FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc) you are using.

If you are referring to the message windows Spell Check tool, it has worked for a number of years

I haven't used that button, it doesn't work for me.

I didn't think it was my browser doing the spell checking, I have only noticed the problem when using this forum.

I am using Google Chrome but cannot see any spell checker options in the settings. Are you familiar with Google Chrome?

Thanks

This forum has never checked spelling "on the fly." When it worked, you still had to click on the Spell Check tool, before a check was done.

Chrome has a built-in spellchecker that automatically checks spelling when you enter text in web forums, such as this forums message window.

I don't use Chrome, but you will find that there is a setting that tells the Chrome spellchecker which language to use.

Select Options from the Tool menu.
Click on the Under the Hood tab.
Click on Change font and language settings.
Click on the languages tab.

I am moving this thread from Forum Technical Support to Technology Corner where other users of Chrome might help you with the issues.
