We noticed this last weekend that we have a couple of small holes near where our awning is attached to our motor home. I would imagine there is a repair material for this, but I thought I would post here for suggestions before going to my local dealer. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Scott

You didn't tell what type of material or how old the awning is but if it is dry-rot don't put much money into repairing it - it will just keep being a problem.

You can pickup a roll of awning Tape at most RV Parts stores. That should solve Your problem!

I've had good luck with sail repair tape available at West Marine or most marine stores. Al C.

If the remainder of the material is ok I would remov the awning material and take it to a upholstery shop and have 6 inches removed and the plastic spline reinstalled. Then put it back on the rv.

If the rest of your awning is ok just some small holes. You can use Plasti Dip You can find it at Lowes or H Depot but only in yellow if you want it in different colors you can order it on line. www.plastidip.com
Just clean the awning roll it out about a foot use masking tape to outline the area you need to cover paint the Plasti Dip on & remove the masking tape before the dip sets up.
I covered a strip about 4" wide the wideth of my awning & used two 22fl oz cans the repair will last a long time just be sure the Plasti Dip is dry before rolling up the awning
