Photo courtesy of The Acushnet Company An Acushnet Company touring vehicle from 1938 took the firm’s demonstration machine around the country to show off its products.

The Acushnet Company is the company that makes the Titleist Golf Balls here in our city of New Bedford, MA. There was an article in our local newspaper today regarding The Acushnet Company.

I thought the touring vehicle would have made a nice Class B back in 1938.

Now... is that really a C or an A? Bus conversion? Is that the body that came off the factory line? Too bad we can't see the front. Perhaps it is like the Toronado C.

Hard to tell, but sergeant's pic could be of a vintage 5th wheel. They are hitched to the center hub of the spare (5th wheel) in the car trunk.

Looking at it really good, I can see it is hitched to the vehicle.

I asked my neighbor if he could get me more info for me as he is an engineer at Titleist.

But that is a trailer hitched to a tow vehicle, no question.
