Definitely take the side and back walls down to 20-40 inches off the ground. There is a huge difference in the amount of sun and dirt that will hit the RV with the walls carried down. By leaving the sides open the last 20-40 inches, you wiil have all the circulation you need. Plus, if you're on a paved surface, you can still wash the RV and blow the area out with a gas blower.

I have a VersaTube shelter and when I extended it from 36' to 40' I ran the sides down to the ground. I left the front and back open and used Silver tarps to close it off in the winter, but have space at the top and 2-3' space at the bottom for air circulation. I have small pea gravel with a moisture barrier for the floor. My only regret was not to pour a concrete floor when I erected it, but at that time I only had a 33' TT to store and now a 39' DP, that is why I had to add an extension.
