I never unhook the TT from the TV if just over night or two nights. I never unhook the elect cable either. No problem with either in nearly 50 years of camping

Yes there IS a need since you tow with a Chevy. The trailer batteries are not isolated from the truck battery so if you use enough power you won't start your truck the next day. Ford and later model Toyota use a relay to keep the two electrical systems isolated unless the key is turned on. It takes only a second to unplug and I'd recommend you do it. You CERTAINLY don't need to unhook anything other than the umbilical cord. If your truck can't handle the load of the trailer sitting still I SURE wouldn't trust it driving down the road (but it WILL handle it just fine). Good luck / Skip

Well we are here and all set up We had no choice with unhooking as the TV stuck halfway into the road. All in all it was a very easy deal. Thanks again to all for the input

Unless we want to go sightseeing, we rarely unhook. I do put stabilizers down, and use tongue jack to take a little load off rear springs.
