We are driving down to Kerrville tx with our rv and our car. We planned to park our motorhome with our friends while we go for a month's visit to our grandchildren in BC. Our flight is booked and our idea was to drive into San Antonio and park our car for the month that we would be in BC, No such luck. The parking lots are full and our friends will also be away for that time so they cannot drive us. Does anyone know the area well enough to suggest an alternative for us. The hotels will only allow us to park maximum of 2 weeks. I have been unable to find on line anyone who provides a shuttle service to the airport from Kerrville. So I need to think out of the box here but I am all out of fresh ideas. Anyone have any ideas?

Check into storage lots. Tons of people there store their RVs just like other places.

Leave the RV and the car at your friends house and hire a car service. They will be listed in the phone book. It will probably cost you about $150 or so each way from Kerrville to the Airport. You could also call a taxi company in San Antonio and get a cab quote. If you drive your car in, there is long term parking at the airport and there are several park and ride locations that serve the airport. No way all the park and ride locations and the airport parking lots are full. If you need to park your RV at a location other than your friends, I would inquire at the local San Antonio RV parks as to their monthly rates. That way you could keep it plugged in. You could surely get a cab from the RV park to the airport. One final option, drive your car to the airport, rent a car for the day, follow your spouse back to Kerrville, park your car and drive the rental to the airport. Might be a little cheaper than a car service or a taxi.

YOu are creative. I did try the car parks that were offered in my search but I agree that there should be something open. I am going back in again. I do have a call into one hotel to ask them to extend the two week parking period but it did not sound promising. I am going to try RV parks although I don't really want to plug in my motorhome for a month whithout us being there but they still might be willing to let me park my car for the month.
Thanks a lot

Contact Alamo Fiesta RV Park. They are on or just off I 10 at Boerne, Tx. Not far to the SA airport and some really nice people. They offer storage and most likely will take care of you.

So when you say that "The parking lots are full ", are you talkiing about long term parking at the San Antonio airport? I can't imagaine that being the case. If so , then yeah I would think that parking your car in a boat/RV storage would be fairly reasonable. San Antonio's Boat/RV storage places are readily available and cheap from $30-90 a month.

Thank you JImtoo I e-mailed Fiesta who just called me back. We got the parking of both vehicles for $50 for the month and we booked for the night we come back all for $86.00. That is a pretty good deal. We still need to get into San Antonio but thos nice folks as Alamo gave us some phone numbers to call, so we are a little easier. Thanks again.
