While I pushed the retract all jacks control, he tapped the selenoids lightly with a hammer. The jacks half way retracted and stopped. We repeated the process and got them up. At least we could drive home.
I took the Bounder to a local hydraulic shop and they found the problem in ten minutes. It was the retract selenoid had an open which was actually in the selenoid about an inch in from the contact. Since he didn't have the part, he unwound a layer of wire from the coil and welded a new connector, I had the Bounder seven years after that with no problems. By the way he only charged me $15.00 for the job. I can only imagine what the dealer would have charged me.
Now this is pure CLASS! A person has trouble with an automotive part, takes it to a repair facility, they diagnose it based on the custormers symtoms, repair the part because they don't have a new one and the total cost: $15.00, WOW!!!! How many times do you see something like that??? Glad you got it fixed, what a great place of business.
