If you park your RV on a lot in Florida with a hydro meter and 30 amp service, what would the average cost per month be?

it all depends on the price per kilowatt hour and the taxes they add on. Its the same deal as here in Ontario.. Also, how much electricity you use, washer? dryer? in MH or 5th wheel, electric heater to take the chill off, ac to keep you cool. Surely someone with florida experience will give you an opinion of cost. We stay in Arizona, don't really conserve, we use elec heater quite often and keep fridge on elec and water heater on elec. we are 50 amp. Our monthly bill is probably 65.00We also have reg washer and dryer and full bath in our storage building, and its used alot. We share the lot with another couple in a 35' TT. I haven't been much help, sorry. Dona

When we bought our place in Texas the park manager told me water was part of monthly fees when I asked him about hydro. Very much a Canadian term but... I have little experience from Florida but the Texans complain like crazy about electricity costs. We pay 13.5 cents per kwh. In good old Ontario we only pay 6.5 before all the add ons. My Ontario hydro bill averages 14.3 cents after all the add ons. To make a long story short, hydro will cost you about the same as it would in Ontario. I'm guessing the $65 a month quoted would be pretty close. We have a 60' mobile with central air and we pay about $85 a month and no HST!!! Horray.
Have fun and good luck

Dunno how helpful this is, but at 17 cents per KW and no A/C usage, a month cost us $31US for power.

Electric rates in Florida are alot cheaper than Arizona or Texas. I have never had an electric bill (excluding last winter) that was over $50 per month, and we use an electric fireplace to keep this comfortable. Two years ago, in Yuma, Arizona, I had a bill of $148 at Del Peblo RV Resort for the month of Jan. Last winter we were at a resort in Florida where the electric was included in the rate, so I don't know what the actual costs were.

Strange you mention a service charge. The Glades RV Resort in Hendry County tried that and the Glades Power Co told them it was illegal. The customer only pays for what they use, nothing more.
The park we were in last winter was about 13 cents/kw.

There is no real answer to your question. We set the thermostat to 70 and don't mess with it. The guy next door turns off the heat at night and uses a down comforter on the bed while someone else turns on the propane.
Square footage, thermo pane windows, storm windows, room by room heating, outside air temperature all effect the power bill.
From my experience expect between $100 and about $150 a month ..... plus any added park fee.
